The HiP Machine

After unforgettable shows in 2023 and 2024, THE HiP MACHINE returns to the Stockey Centre in Parry Sound.

Inspired by the band, the man, the machine, THE HiP MACHINE brings you the music of The Tragically Hip the way it was meant to be heard - live.

Darryl Aspin of Hitcher fame made his mark captivating audiences across the Durham Region with his strong vocal ability and high-energy performances. Behind Darryl is a band of talented musicians, including guitarist Mike Rewegen, drummer Seth McNamara, bassist Stephen Reid, and lead guitarist Mike Marinuk.

After six years as a founding member of another Ontario Hip tribute, Mike now showcases his abilities with performances mirroring the albums and live HiP recordings.

Drawing on his experience in previous projects, Mike has also helped shape a concert experience that goes beyond the music itself, adding a visual element that deepens the connection to the songs.

For many, The Tragically Hip was the ultimate live band. Their music carried an energy and presence that could only be felt in person. Our goal is to bring a little of that feeling back, along with the memories we all share.
